Playing catch up....

It's been awhile since I have last posted. So here's just random things that have been going on.
First off, I can't believe how time is flying by! Payton is already 2 months old!!!! TWO MONTHS!! Before long I am going to be planning her first birthday.

These were taken a few days ago. It was her first time in the pool. She wasn't too sure what to think of it and was fine as long as she was snugged tight to me :) My Jayden was off swimming about in the background. I can't keep him out of the pool!! Which reminds me to stress the importance of swimming safety!!!
Last week we had a VERY close call with Jayden and the pool...He was excited (as usual) and got out to the pool while I was getting my swim suit on. THANK GOD I heard the splash of him jumping in otherwise I would have been too late. He was under for about a min, but when I pulled him up and was already turning blue. I held him tight and patted his back while he was coughing up water. I hate to even recall the incident, but at the same time it reminds me that I need to tighten up my game when it comes with swimming and Jayden.

Busy Busy Busy

This is a quick blog to update whats been going on. First off Payton is absolutely wonderful! Here's a picture from today of me and my kiddos!
She will be a month old this Friday. I can't believe how the time has flown by! She can pretty much hold her head up with little to almost no support at all. She is Eric little mini-me :)

I would post a little more, but I'm on a time limit (I have been trying to get to bed earlier cuz I'm up half the night) but it doesn't always work out that way. My nose has been stuck in the Twilight Saga! LOL (I love boys who sparkle)

So for now, I must go bury myself in the book! I'm almost done with Eclipse and I have Break Dawn left. THE SUSPENSE is killing me! I must know what happens! :)

Being a mom

Is one of the most rewarding things out there! Payton, is a great baby, except the fact the past couple days, she has been waking up more often in the middle of the night, but my body has adjusted, like usual. Jayden is such a big helper. He loves his "sissy".

A few Easter pictures:

PLEASED TO WELCOME...

Payton Elizabeth!!! Our little girl made her entrance into this world on April 8, 2009 at 12:19 am!!
I was admitted into L&D at 7:45pm on the7th to stCheck Spellingart the induction process. Meaning, they would give me cervadil to soften things up, then at 6 am on the 8th I would get pitocin to start contractions. The good Lord had different plans! At 9:15 pm I was given the cervadil. My nurse warned me it would make me crampy and she would be willing to give me a sleeping pill to help me get some rest for the evening. I declined the sleeping pill at the moment and decided to watch some tv. By 10 pm, I was having contractions and asked the nurse if I could get something to ease them. She gave me the sleeping pill and hooked my IV fluids up. Over the course of 15 minuets, I told her my contractions were getting stronger and I needed pain medication. She checked me and I was 4cm dilated, she made an unsuccessful attempt to take the cervadil out to slow down the contractions. 20 minuets later, another nurse came in to take it out and noticed, I jumped up to 8cm dilated. All I can remember was the room went from calm to hectic, Eric asked if he should call my mom and they told him to wait, at that moment, my water had broke and they gave him the go ahead to get her down here and to call my doctor in asap! They ordered my epidural (which I was BEGGING for by now) After attempting to get it in between contractions, I was told to lay down to be check. I was 10cm dilated, but the nurse told me I need to hold out a few more minuets as they were still waiting on my doctor to arrive. A few seconds later my mom walked in. (Can you believe she made it there BEFORE my doctor!?!?! LOL) Soon after that, the doc arrived. FINALLY!!! I gave 6 good pushes and Payton Elizabeth came out crying like a champ at 12:19 am!! Weighing in at 8 pounds, 13.5 ounces and 21" long! She passed Jayden up in weight when he was born (he was 8 pounds, 10 ounces and 21" long) Needless to say, I pretty much had her without any medication...My epidural didn't take effect until AFTER she was here. Thinking of the experience now, I can HONESTLY say any woman who can give birth drug free....more props to you!!! I don't recommend it!!! IT HURTS!!!! :P But my sweet little girl was worth it. She looks just like Jayden but with dark hair and resembles her daddy in so many ways!!! My family is now complete with my son and daughter!

It came and went

April 3rd flew by and didn't even look back. No signs of labor, nothing. Today I had my final doctors appointment and got papers for my induction which will take place on Wednesday. I actually go into the hospital at 7:45 pm Tuesday night, they will start the process before they actually induce me. Then Wednesday morning sometime, I will be given pitocin to bring the labor on. I guess this doesn't surprise me fully, as I was induced with Jayden a week after my due date.
Eric, Jayden and I had our last final "outing" as a family 3 three at Dairy Queen. It's so surreal that in 48 hours our little princess will be joining us! I was so busy yesterday vacuuming, mopping, laundry, cleaning out my truck, putting the final touches in her room, that I have been exhausted all day today! I plan on doing the same thing tomorrow :) just so I know I have everything done!!
Eric and I decided on a name change. Yes, a name change!!! 3 days before our little girl is here and Eric is now dead set on a different name, he swears this is it! :P

4 days left and still nothing :(

How disappointing is that?!?! I had my 39 week appointment this morning. I have lost yet another pound..doctor told me to eat (WOOHOO!!). My blood pressure is still a little elevated, but he doesn't seem over concerned with it. So basically, I go to see him next Monday if baby still hasn't arrived and he will determine when to induce me. I was really hoping to go into labor on my own this time! HMP! Although he did give me the option to wait up to 2 weeks past my due date if I wanted to....NEGATIVE!! As much as it would probably be better, I want to get back to being me again!
Speaking of which....I now have another family living with me! If you remember reading an earlier blog about Eric's brother and family coming to stay with us....well, they showed up on my door step yesterday afternoon. I couldn't be any more ticked off at how inconvenient this is to me giving that I am having a newborn in a week!!! Eric doesn't care, at least he says he has no choice...we were they're last resort. Out of all their family and friends in SC...we are their last resort!!!! UGH! WHATEVER!!

Offically ONE WEEK LEFT!

This past Monday I had my 38 week appointment. My doctor ordered another ultrasound and some lab work to rule out possibilities of pre-eclampsia. He doesn't think I have it, so I'm not overly concerned. Just tired of being dizzy, nauseous and weak...all the great things that come with pregnancy.

So Wednesday I went and had the ultrasound done. I got one good picture (38 weeks and 5 days along) of her showing a poutie face (she didn't look happy being jiggled around in there) Her head was wwaaaaayyy low so it made it hard to get good views of her. After all was said and done, the tech confirmed to me that she is already showing to be around 8 pounds!! I guess this shouldn't surprise me too much as Jayden was born 8 pounds 10 ounces. I was just hoping to not have to push out another almost 9 pound baby again! I guess I just bake big babies!
